Ione M. Jennings, 91 of Avon, IL passed away Sunday June 24, 2012, 10:54 am at Cottage Hospital Galesburg, IL. She was born May 27, 1921 in Ellisville, IL the daughter of Walter and Hazel Knickerbocker Dallefeld. She married Clifford Jennings on March 29, 1941 in Canton, MO. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1991.

She is survived by one son Kenneth (Carol) Jennings of Avon, IL; one grandson Brian (Amanda) Jennings of Knoxville, IL; one great grandson Riley Jennings; one sister Shirley Kalb of Galesburg, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother, and 1 sister.

After marriage her husband served in the US Army during the WWII, they lived in Colorado before his deployment overseas. After her husband's service they moved to Ellisville, IL, they also lived in Abingdon from 1952-1971 then moving to Avon where she has lived since. She and her husband were devoted Cub Fans. She worked at Blue Belle in Abingdon, IL. She enjoyed her trips to Beardstown, IL with friends. She enjoyed to cook and bake, and helped her husband in the Avon Lions Club. She treasured anything to do with family gatherings, and she never missed one of her grandson's games.

Graveside service will be Wednesday June 27, 2012 at the Avon Cemetery at 11:00 am with family receiving friends from 9:30-10:30 am at Corman Memorial Home Avon, IL.
