Lena Pepper, 85 of Avon, IL passed away Thursday May 10, 2012, 8:55 pm, at the Red Oak Estates Nursing Home in Canton, IL. She was born February 26, 1927 in Macomb, IL the daughter of Glee and Dolly Kramer Kepple. She married Lawerence E. Pepper on July 7, 1945; he preceded her on August 3, 2010. She is survived by five children Alan (Bev Naslund) Pepper of Avon, IL, Michael (Becky) Pepper of Macomb, IL, Dale (Amy) Pepper of Lockport, IL, Sharon (Jerry) Haffner of Canton, IL, and Karen (John) Culbertson of Canton, IL; 10 grandchildren Jodi, Jeff, Brooke, Evan, Grant, Rob, Alicia, Kyla, Christian, Faith; 6 great grandchildren Noah, Lilly, Chaz, Bella, Zeke, and Eli; three siblings Bill (Betty) Kepple of Abingdon, IL, Donald (Wanda) Kepple of Avon, IL and Ronald Kepple of Bushnell, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

She graduated from Avon High School and attended W.I.U. She was a member of the Avon United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Church Women. She was a member of the Hypatian Club, and Greenbush Card Club. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral service will be Tuesday May 15, 2012; 10:30 am at the Avon United Methodist Church Rev. Trish Chapman will officiate. Family will receive friends Monday May 14, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Corman Memorial Home Avon, IL. Burial will be in the Bond Cemetery, Greenbush, IL.
